What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is an easy, secure, and private way to pay with your Techcombank visa debit and credit cards. 
You can use your compatible iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and Mac to make purchases quickly and securely in stores, within apps, and on the web.

Which Apple devices are compatible with Apple Pay?

Requires iPhone 6 or later with iOS 12.5.2 or later. Available on Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 9 or later. Apple Watch must be paired with an iPhone 8 or later. Where I can use Apply Pay?

You can use Apple Pay anywhere that accepts contactless payments or places you see the contactless payment icon      or the Apple Pay mark 

Does Apple Pay store my card information?

Your actual card number is never stored on your device or Apple servers. And when you pay, your card number is never shared by Apple with merchants, keeping these details hidden and offering an additional level of protection against fraud.

Are Apple Pay transactions limited to the maximum payment amount?

No, Apple Pay does not limit the maximum payment amount. However, depending on the country or point of payment, you may be required to enter a PIN into the POS machine.

Can I use Apple Pay abroad?

Apple Pay will work in all countries where international contactless payments are accepted. We recommend carrying a physical card as a backup as not all payment points in each country can support contactless payments.

Is Apple Pay available for cash withdrawals?

No, currently, you cannot use Apple Pay to withdraw cash. You will need to continue to use physical cards or other methods to withdraw cash from ATMs.

Can I see my Apple Pay transaction history on my bank account statement or card statement?

Transactions will appear as usual on your bank statement or card statement. However, the statement will not be able to show whether the transaction was made with Apple Pay or a physical Card.

What should I do if I lose an Apple device with Apple Pay installed?

If your device has been lost or stolen, you can prevent unauthorised payments being made with your card on Apple Pay by: 

 

(a) Remotely locking your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Mac using the Find My app or icloud.com to mark as lost. The ability to make payments on the device is suspended when it is put in Lost Mode  

 

(b) Permanently erasing all the data on your iPhone or iPad using the Find My app or icloud.com.
