Consumption-related CO₂ emissions are a major driver of global climate change.
With Eco, you can monitor and offset your carbon footprint to live more sustainably.
The card estimates your CO₂ emissions based on your spending category and amount (using Visa’s carbon conversion model).
Track your emissions (in kilograms of CO₂) easily in the Eco Credit Card management section on the Techcombank Mobile app.
To help offset your CO₂ impact, the Eco Credit Card connects you with verified environmental projects in Vietnam.
Through the app, you can support your preferred initiatives—such as renewable energy, reforestation, or waste reduction - by making a contribution, donation, or carbon credit purchase.
Each project helps offset your emissions in proportion to your contribution.
All projects are verified by Visa and leading international climate and sustainability organizations.

Frequently asked questions
Greenhouse gas emissions (CO₂) are automatically estimated based on the spending category and transaction amount made with your Eco Card.
Each spending category is linked to an average emission rate, calculated using the Visa Sustainability Index.
For example: A 10,000 VND transaction in the Transportation category may correspond to 0.032 kg of CO₂ (actual values may vary).
CO₂ offsetting allows you to compensate for your unavoidable emissions through contribution payments.
These contributions are transferred by Techcombank to a partnered offset provider and distributed to projects that actively work to reduce CO₂ emissions.
The Visa Sustainability Index is developed by Visa to estimate carbon emissions from card transactions.
It provides an innovative framework for calculating greenhouse gas emissions and is first integrated into the Techcombank Visa Eco Credit Card in Vietnam.
