Techcombank launched a feature to help customers update and supplement biometric data from chip-based Citizen ID cards to ensure account safety and serve as authentication when performing transactions (transfers & payments) exceeding the limit on the digital banking channel as regulated by the State Bank.

Starting from July 1, 2024, customers will need additional biometric authentication when performing transactions exceeding the threshold according to the regulations of the State Bank on Techcombank Mobile and Techcombank Online Banking, or when performing the first transaction after installing or reinstalling Techcombank Mobile on a new device.
