- Impersonating authorities and organizations: Creating fake social media accounts, websites, or apps of Government Agencies (Police, Tax authorities...), Banks, telecommunications companies, or major brands to request citizens to "update biometric data", thereby collecting face videos, voice recordings, and confidential personal information.

To prevent the risk of losing control over your accounts and to avoid unwanted legal consequences, Techcombank recommends that you strictly follow the "4 DOs & 4 DON'Ts" principle:
What you SHOULD do (The DOs):
- Absolute Confidentiality: Actively manage and protect your personal information, biometric data (face, fingerprints), and bank account details.
- Verify Information Sources: Only access and follow instructions from official channels (with verified blue ticks, websites with legitimate domain extensions belonging to the Bank or competent authorities).
- Proactive Verification: Always check and re-verify the identity of the person contacting you through independent channels before conducting any transaction or providing any information.
- Timely Action: If you suspect that your information has been compromised or that you are being scammed, immediately lock your card/account on the digital banking app, or contact the bank right away via 24/7 hotline, or visit the nearest Branch/Transaction Office.
What you MUST NOT do (The DON'Ts):
- DO NOT buy, sell, rent, or lease bank accounts, cards, or e-wallets under any circumstances. (Note: This act may be subject to criminal prosecution if the account is exploited for money laundering or fraud).
- DO NOT provide sensitive information: Absolutely never provide your Username, Password, OTP code, card details (Card number, CVV code), or biometric data to anyone, including those claiming to be police officers, government officials, or bank staff (The Bank NEVER asks customers to provide this information).
- DO NOT abet illegal activities: Do not use bank accounts or cards to conduct or receive money for unlawful purposes (online gambling, betting, etc.).
- DO NOT share publicly: Do not post personal information, photos of identity documents, or account details on social media platforms (Facebook, Zalo, TikTok, etc.).
