The State Bank of Vietnam has issued an official press release regarding the recent incident related to credit information at the Vietnam Credit Information Center (CIC), affirming that:

  • Credit information collected by CIC in accordance with the law does not include details such as: deposit accounts, account balances, savings books, payment accounts, debit card numbers, credit card numbers, card security codes (CVV/CVC), or customers’ payment transaction history.
  • The IT systems of credit institutions operate independently, and their services continue to be delivered in a safe, stable, and uninterrupted manner.
