From March 19, 2025, Techcombank will temporarily suspend and stop providing services for Napas payment cards using magnetic technology issued by Techcombank (magnetic Napas cards). Customers are advised to switch to chip technology cards
In compliance with Circular 18/2024/TT-NHNN of the State Bank, Techcombank will only provide transaction services with chip technology cards to help customers enhance information security and have a convenient experience when making transactions. Napas payment cards using magnetic technology issued by Techcombank (magnetic Napas cards) will begin to temporarily suspend and stop providing services from March 19, 2025.
At the same time, to protect customers, Techcombank will suspend and stop providing services for magnetic technology cards issued by Techcombank as soon as fraudulent transactions are detected.
Chip technology cards are designed with modern technology, ensuring safety and security according to VCCS standards, and reducing the risk of counterfeit or fraudulent transactions.
