In recognizing outstanding achievements in international payments, on April 3, 2013, HSBC - one of the world’s largest financial institutions – granted the STP Award (Straight-Through-Processing) for Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank.
 
STP is one of the most important criteria to assess the quality of banks’ automatic payment. With a high STP rate, Techcombank customers’ international payment transactions are processed in a quick and accurate manner; meanwhile, the Bank can save time and costs while minimizing risks, and the likes. This is an assertion and evidence of the   quality of the Bank’s technology platform and operational excellence of its workforce.
 
Speaking at the award granting ceremony, the representative of HSBC, Mr. Scott Solberg, Head of Global Financial Service Banking, said: “HSBC is impressed by the STP rate that Techcombank has achieved in the past year. The quality of Techcombank’s international payment transfers is among the best banks in Vietnam.”
 
Currently, Techcombank has correspondent relationship with nearly 900 banks worldwide. In 2012, sales from international payments of Techcombank were 5.3 billion US dollars, which is in the top among commercial banks. Beside HSBC, the quality of Techcombank’s international payment is recognized and awarded by widely reputable correspondent banks such as Bank of New York, Wells Fargo, Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, and JP Morgan Chase.
 
 

The award on international payment by HSBC is another recognition of a large international financial institution of Techcombank’s endeavours in enhancing its service quality towards a bank of international standards. Beside this award, in 2012, Techcombank also received numerous awards in other fields by other prestigious international organizations such as Journal of Finance Asia, Asian Banking & Finance Magazine, Magazine Alpha Southeast Asia, Global Trade Review Magazine, Global Finance, among others.
